Another fabulous installment in the Mercy Thompson saga. The love Adam-Mercy-Samuel love triangle has been resolved in a mature and responsible way, Mercy's brutal attack hasn't been glossed over but Ms. Briggs reemphasizes Mercy's refusal to be a victim, she's not a superwoman, however, and we do see poignant moments of vulnerability. Overall, though, she forges ahead and gets on with her life. I won't go into detail about what happens as you can glean it from the other numerous reviews here. Suffice it to say, this is a dang good book and a kick-*** series - I can't imagine what trouble Mercy will find herself embroiled (no pun intended re: Stefan, haha) in next but I can't wait to find out!!
