Excellent book, imo! The war between the vampires and their strange enemies known as "lessers" continues to escalate with Zsadist nearly out of control due to Bella's kidnapping. Held captive 6 weeks she is the obsession of the lesser known as Mr. O who is convinced she's his reincarnated wife. After being rescued, Bella is determined to stay as physically close to Zsadist as possible despite his apparent psychological & emotional issues and strenuous objections. Seeing her struggles as she copes with the effects her kidnapping. Zsadist, touched by his observations of Bella, slowly opens up to her and shares the disturbing details of his early life when he was a blood slave. We get the back story of his kidnapping as an infant and the eventual rescue by his twin, Phury, after 100 years of separation. *Torture and rape scenes are extremely graphic and disturbing. Definitely not suitable for young readers.
